A first study for the Łódź Fabryczna Train Station roof and facade. A ETFE membrane is inflated in a steel spaceframe structure. The lightweight structure is selfsuporting, thus the elegant thin columns are first an architectural feature expressing the size and depth of the station. They are also functionally necessary to channel snow and rainwater off the roof.
Work was completed at SYSTRA in Paris and Warsaw. Perspectives were post-processed by Karol Zydor.
